Typically, shattuckite occurs as delicate "hair-like" acicular crystals. This specimen, recovered from a small copper deposit in the harsh desert conditions of the Kaokoveld Plateau exhibits sturdy, botryoidal (grape-like) masses of shattuckite showing a brilliant light blue color.
