This inlay style is typical of the jewelry from Santo Domingo Pueblo. The inlay pieces are worked over shell. This piece is unusual because it is placed in a silver setting. The mosaic inlay of turquoise, spiney oyster, jet and mother of pearl is over the top of a shell--note the curved shape. Old style bolo slide. The artist is unknown. 1.75" diameter.
