A Feb. 15, 1887 St. Louis Post-Dispatch article describes a reorganization of the company that held property near Silver City, NM including the Four Hawks claim. The 1905 Report of the Secretary of the Territory and Legislative Manual for New Mexico lists its principal place of business as Cooney, which is a ghost town that was washed away by flooding in 1911.
