Matching ships and flags silk woven postcards (4). They feature the R.M.S. Ivernia. Interestingly, research refers to this vessel as SS Ivernia which was a British ocean liner owned by the Cunard Line, built by the company Swan Hunter & Wigham Richardson of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, and launched in 1899. The Ivernia was one of Cunard's intermediate ships, that catered to the vast immigrant trade.
Also included is a card for the R.M.S. Carmania, with matching flag card. RMS Carmania was a Cunard Line transatlantic steam turbine ocean liner. She was launched in 1905 and scrapped in 1932. In World War I she was first an armed merchant cruiser (AMC) and then a troop ship.
All four cards have been used, but they're in nice condition and in very nice condition. Please see photos for more details. [] [] [United Kingdom] [] []
