Incorporated in New York. No. 44, issued for 50 shares to Pelton on Dec. 16th, 1865. Signed by the president, Wm B. Hayward, and secretary L.R. Hutchinson. Not cancelled. Two nice underground mining vignettes. Green seal. Printed by Henry Seibert & Bros. Folds. This was probably a Reese River operation given the time period and investors. However, we cannot conclusively locate it at this time, but believe it is Austin. Not specifically mentioned in the 1865 Austin directory or in Reese River Reveille archives. However, New Yorkers were investing heavily in the Austin area in 1865 and it is Shoshone territory!
