Number 467 for 25 shares to Henry Carlton Jr. Datelined San Francisco 1863. Signed by secretary MJ Newmark and president George Clifford. Incorporated March 3, 1863. Located in Simpson's Park Mining District, Lander County, Nevada Territory. Not cancelled. Vignette of prospectors high in the mountains. Lith. Britton & Co. Henry Carlson Jr. signs on reverse. Light discoloration. No corner or edge issues. The Shoshone had a small mine in Simpson's Park district east of Austin. But they bought other mines including the Great Eastern in the Reese River district south of Austin. The Reese River Reveille notes that this is the first incorporation of a Reese River mine in San Francisco. The Reveille also wrote, " The Great Eastern may properly be regarded as the most thorough mining enterprise in the Reese River District and its vein ranked among the riches in the section."
