Sid Bell, The Alaskan Silversmith, (1919-2002) was a well known artisan working out of Tully, New York. After serving as a U. S. Marine in World War Two, he worked in Alaska several decades as a cartographer for the government. His love of wildlife carried over into his art, and here are six bolo ties from his wildlife series: trout, water buffalo, goose, elk, duck and horse. Six similar mountings, some brown and some black leather. The pieces are small, about 1 x 2 inches, but beautifully crafted.
