This L.C. Smith shotgun is marked "Hunter Arms Co./ Fulton, New York" on the rib between barrels. S/N 212881 is stamped on the water-table as well as the forearm piece. "O E" is also stamped on the water-table indicating O grade gun with the optional ejectors (yes, I tried them) with a birthdate of 1910. It has fluid steel barrels at 30 in. , it is hammerless, and the lock-plates are engraved with a chicken walk border and the "L. C. Smith" is stamped which helps date the gun. The barrels are without dents but patinated a rich brown and the forearms has a roller release. The lock-plates show spotting. The bored appear bright. The stock is a semi-pistol grip with a crack at the wrist that likely retired the gun and a chip in the grip cap. The LOP is 14.25 in. with double triggers. An FFL transfer is required. This gun is an antique and no attempt has been made to fire this gun to confirm its mechanical integrity. Nor should this gun be fired without the examination by a qualified gunsmith. Any attempt to fire an antique gun is at the risk of the owner and not consistent with the value of the firearm. Additional transfer and shipping fees apply. No sales to New York, New Jersey, California, or Hawaii. Please see photos for details. [
