Very rare. Key mine on the north side of the Comstock. This mining company was incorporated when the Comstock was still part of the Utah Territory. Incorporation date was July 6, 1860. Very Early! Number 2224 for 25 shares to Robert McElroy. Datelined San Francisco 1866. Signed by John M Brewer(?0 and president Edward Stone. 25-cent Warehouse Revenue stamp. Printed by Towne & Bacon. Not cancelled. Folds, toning. 5 x 10" Original trustees were TJ Andrews, JD Wilson, Joseph Lambert, George O. Whitney and William M. Stewart. Stewart would become the most influential citizen as lawyer for most of the major mining companies on the Comstock. This mine was the second largest producer in Sevenmile Canyon, located below the Utah Mine.
