Hopi Silver Sterling Bolo. A signed piece with Hallmark "Bear". Shungopavi Pueblo, Second Mesa, Arizona. These signed pieces are highly prized and sought after by major collectors across the country, collections of Lawrence Saufkie reside in the Peabody Museum, Harvard University, Cambridge, MA, Heard Museum, and the Museum of Northern Arizona at Flagstaff. He started in jewelry making at the age of 12 and was selling his work at the Inter-tribal Indian Ceremonials in Gallup by 1949 at the age of 14. This bolo is 2 ½” in diameter with heavy 2 ½” silver tips on the bolo tie.
