Pinholes, folds, bent corner. 5.25 x10" Pinal County was formed in 1875 from three counties. About this time word of a great discovery at a new mine called the Silver King was being circulated. The 6 x 9' shaft only went down 42 feet with a 12 foot drift. But, "Great quantities of nearly pure silver is found in the little black nuggets of quartz" [Raymond] The company would go on to become one of the great mines in Western history.
