Coin World produced these medals in the 1960s, eight medals honoring the eight United States Mints. A 2012 Coin World article by Jeff Starck notes no more than 210 silver sets can be put together. The silver medals weight 21.05 grams each, of the silver value of each is two-thirds of the spot price of silver. This set was presented to Mrs. Purnie Moore of Birmingham Alabama in 1968 by Coin World Editor Margo Russell in appreciation for all of Mrs. Moore's good works. The presentation letter is included. The set is in a Capitol Plastics holder, and comes with the 2012 issue describing the set. State: City: Date:
