Number 2 is the rarest of the Silver Prize Stock Certificates. 25 shares No. 10 dated August 15th 1863 to Frank Cooper. Incorporated August 3rd 1863 and capitalized at $200,000; 2000 shares at $100 per. Signed by President, Frank Cooper and Secretary, J. Warren Clark. A rare 25 cent brown “Protest” Internal Revenue stamp. Printed by Towne & Bacon, S.F. Located on range with Mountain and Silver Creek Companies. A very scarce Amador County certificate. Alpine County ws created in 1864 and Frank Cooper was one of the first three appointed County Commissioners!
