A silver colored Western-style engraved belt buckle with gold embellishments, including a sheep, a trophy for "mutton busting," ready for engraving. Appears to be silver and gold plated. Gold embellishments include a raised 1-1/4" x 1" very detailed ram (sheep with horns), edging and three raised scrolled areas for engraving. Stamped on rear, "Crumrine Mfg./Made in U.S.A." Crumrine is a Reno, Nevada, based company. Nevada has a Basque heritage, with immigrants first coming to Northern Nevada in the mid-1800s during the Gold Rush. The Basques have been closely-tied to sheep herding in Nevada and neighboring states. The buckle measures 4-1/2" x 3-1/2". This "like new" belt buckle Fits Standard 1.5" Snap on Belts.
