All are Bank of California. Great group! 1) Pacific Mill & Mining Company, RN-D1, issued in 1875, signed by James G. Fair. 2) Consolidated Mill, RN-D1, issued in 1874 to the Virginia & Truckee Railroad, signed by Fair. 3) Sapphire Mill, W.S. Hobart, RN-D1, issued to and signed by Raymond for Hobart, 1873. 4) Trench Mill, Nevada and IR adhesive revenue stamps, issued in 1870 to Gillig Mott & Co. (think Grant Lanterns), signed by Fair. 5) Mariposa Mill Company, RN-C21, issued in 1871 to Isaac Bennett, signed by Fair. The Mariposa Mill was located at the head of Sevenmile Canyon south of the Sierra Nevada Mine. Controlled by William Sharon as the California Mill in the late 1860s, in 1871 it was processing Hale & Norcross ore. 6) Unissued Woodworth Mill, RN-D1, c.1870s. All checks (except last) have spindle holes and other wear. The Trench Mill check is in the poorest condition for the group, but this is a nice set. Please inspect.
