1) Gate City, 1891. Post office opened in 1886 and closed in 1894. 2) Edmond, 1890. Post office opened the year before. VERY EARLY! Advertising cover for Rev. John Aughey, Presbyterian Church. Returned stamp 'No such office'. Two one cent stamps. 3-4) Kingfisher, 1890 and 1899. Post office opened in 1889 making the first cover very early. Second is an advertising cover for JH Welch on Wm. Cameron & Company cover. 5-6) Pawhuska. 1890 and 1891. 1890 cover listed as Indian Ter. And the 1891 as Okla. Second has a two brown five cent pair of stamps (Sc 223). Covers in the Oklahoma/Indian Territory Postal History come with very nice presentation and history.
