Letter from a soldier from the 310 Regiment of Infantry Company 13, with cover. It's dated October 21, 1917 & addressed to girlfriend Mary Wordin. It states that he's worried that he hasn't heard from her in two to three days. He wants to get married to her soon, so that she can receive the $15 a month the Army will take from his paycheck. He also tells her that he's taking out a $10,000 life insurance policy in case he's killed in action. The other letter with cover is of an unusual nature. It concerns Samuel Heiner, who is seeking a young girl as a companion & helper for his wife. Both letters are in nice condition & readable. Please see photos for more details.
