This is a chronicle translated from Spanish that recounts the journey to Mexico by Hernan Cortes in 1519 and his conquest of the Aztec Empire. The original Spanish account was written by Antonio De Solis secretary to His Holy Catholic Majesty and translated into English by Thomas Townsend in 1753. The books boards have been replaced which adds stability. There are some fold out illustrations. A very fascinating account by the leader of the conquistadors. Please see photos for more details.
