Lot of two for this important narrow gauge steam railroad that operated from Santa Cruz to Alameda. Comstock Bonanza King James G. Fair bought the railroad in 1876 and extended it into the Santa Cruz Mountains to take advantage of the redwood lumber traffic. Leland Stanford also once served as its president. Included: 1) 1883 special ticket issued to J. L. Howard (C. & P.S. RR). Signed by A.H. Fracker as general superintendent. Endorsed by Howard. Heavy soiling. 2) Pictorial pass issued for 1887 to C.H.
