An 1852 engraved German-language map of the southeastern United States, primarily focusing on North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. The map features an inset of the North Carolina gold region but does not note the more lucrative Georgia gold region; similarly, it highlights the Charlotte mint while omitting the Dahlonega mint. This oversight likely indicates the mapmaker's lack of familiarity with the area. A note on the bottom margin of the map says that it was made by the Bibliographical Institute in Hildburghsen. [
