Rare stock, issued 1884. #1641. Unusual vignette of a left hand holding a mine name sign. Eureka Mining District, Bonita Mountain. According to the Colorado Daily Chieftain, November 25, 1885, the company owned the Sampson gold mine and mill at Gladstone but were in financial trouble. This company not listed in C&L, but the Sampson mine is. It was situated on the south slope of Bonita Mountain, 8.5 miles from Silverton. Located in 1878 and 1881. Assays 75-300 ounces of silver per ton. [1883, pg. 669]
