Southern Pacific RR began 1865 until 1929 when it was replaced by Southern Pacific Co. which continued until 1969 when Southern Pacific Transportation Co. took over the holdings. In 1998 change again occurred with the final name of Union Pacific Railroad operating today. Ron Lerch Collection
