These are 1860 bills of sale for two southern plantations or farms. Because of the times, the property list includes several slaves, referred to as "Negros" and given a worth from $85 for a baby to about $1000 for an young adult male. Obviously these were bleak years in the history of our country, but these documents are important as they serve as a reminder of a part of history we can't repeat. Pages are very readable. Please see photos for more details.
