White metal tray 5 x 3 1/2" with a pictorial of the Auditorium in Denver, Colorado "where was held National Democratic Convention" July 7th, 1908. The convention was considered a significant part of Denver's political and social history. It was the first convention held in a Western state, and delegates were greeted by an early July snowstorm. William Jennings Bryan was nominated for president. Denver would not host another convention until a hundred years later in 2008.
