This is a Spanish Mauser rifle S/N 34XX built early 1893-1895 and chambered for 7 MM Black Powder. This rifle has been sporterized with a shortened barrel to 17 in. and a costomized stock where the sling swivels have been relocated to under the stock rather than the side mounted military style. This gun has been personalized by a previous owner (M. Olvera) engraved in two locations; one on the bolt release lever and the other on the bottom of the magazine plate. The most intriguing feature of this gun is that it is stamped in several places with the Star of David for Israeli possession. This gun could have seen action during the Spanish-American War where Theodore Roosevelt Campaigned for San Juan Hill and later stamped to the Israeli Army post 1946. This gun is a gun collector's dream if it could talk. City: State: Date: HWAC# 75625
