This is a Spencer Carbine in .52 cal. rimfire (56/56) model 1860, c. 1863-1865. The rifle is heavily patinated and the serial number is barely visible on the receiver. The Spencer was the earliest firearm to use a tubular feed magazine buried into the butt-stock and held 7 rounds. The feed is opened in the buttplate by rotating the cover clockwise. The barrel is 20 1/2 in. long the the gun is 39 in. OAL. The hammer is partly missing the top spur and the slide-ring is missing as well. Condition is fair. No attempt has been made to fire this firearm. No sales to New York City, New Jersey, California, or Hawaii. Additional shipping and handling fees may apply.
