This is a blacksmith miners' candlestick with a split thimble design. One-piece steel design with a the hook brazed on. This model appears to be following in the design of the 1860-1865 "basic" candlestick invented on the Comstock Lode. However, this stick has a large hook attached to the side. It would appear to be following the design created by Joseph Kindelan of Leadville in 1906. This stick is 8.5" inches long, and does not have a wide ridge center. Wilson-Bobrink #92.
