Round, bronze, 23 mm, very fine condition. Obv.: Boxiana / (gloves) / Spring & Langan; Rev.: pictorial pugilists. Thomas Spring was champion of England and fought Langan twice, winning each 1823-24.

The 1824 fight was for a purse of 300 sovereigns, drew a crowd of some 40,000 and lasted 77 rounds.
