Possibly unique Gold Rush stock. No. 129, issued for one share to president D.M. Locke on Aug. 1st, 1858 in Knight's Ferry. Signed by president David Locke and secretary G. Slocum. Not cancelled. Black border and print on thin paper. Very nice bridge vignette. Printed by Whitton, Towne & Co., SF.6 x 10" Heavily toned, fragile with some small areas missing. The Sacramento Daily Union, Aug. 13th, 1859, reports that the company has built a wire suspension bridge over the Stanislaus River.
