The story of Andrew Steedman as told through the Mammoth Mining Company. Large stack of papers c1920. Many of them specifically mentions Steedman's name. Items include stock certificates purchased by Steedman, Mammoth Mine Company payrolls, two large one month pay rolls on stiff paper, Billheads for items bought, etc. Over 50 sheets of paper that tell a mining story. Steedman was in America less than twenty years when he gained respect as a mechanic and was the key figure for the Mammoth Mining Company mill. He was born in Scotland and converted to Mormonism there. Utah was a perfect place to raise a family. Before his work in the Tintic district, he could be found in Bingham, Coalville and Austin, Nevada. He was described as upright and honorable.
