Original, high quality, art print, 5/50, entitled "Molly Bloom." Signed in pencil at the bottom. Matted image size 8.5 x 10.5". This excellent rendition of a nude Molly Bloom perfectly fits the narratives of James Joyce's "Ulysses", his greatest literary work published in 1922, and one that is considered by many to be among the all-time great books of western literature. Celebrated on June 16th every year, "Bloom Day" becomes a literature holiday, celebrating James Joyce's masterpiece set and written in Dublin. The main character, Leopold Bloom, is married to a rather sexually rambunctious Molly Bloom, who has an affair with Leo's friend. The end of the book contains a soliloquy by Molly that has some literature specialists up in arms because Joyce has Molly in a continuous 4391 word sentence, the longest ever found in the English language.
We looked for biographical information on Leona Stein and found far too many women by this name, without any mention of art. There are perhaps records of nearly twelve of her works found on line, but no mention of the woman's biography, who may be Irish (home of Joyce). Not listed in Falk, etc.
