Blue border and company seal. Charles Steinmetz founded Steinmetz Electric Motor Car Co. in 1920 to designed prototypes of several electric vehicles. Located in Brooklyn, production of industrial truck and a lightweight delivery car was done. 1st electrical truck sold in 1922. Publicity stunt in had truck climbing a steep hill. Plans were to manufacute 1,000 trucks and 300 cars year. With Steinmetz's death in 1923 company folded. A lawsuit from a shareholder brought to light company had not produced number of cars they reported. Ssteinmetz's inventions included electrical applications -- generators, motors, transformers, lightning arrestors, lighting, heating, and electrochemical operations. Printed: Security Bank Note Co.
