This lot contains two stereoviews of mines in Arizona by D.F. Mitchell. The first is of the Tiger mine originally called the Mammoth Mine when discovered in todays Pinal County. The card is orange on the front, poor quality photo, pink back with hand written identification "Tiger Mine, Mill and Hoisting Works" in script. C. 1885.No other identifications. The mine produced gold, silver, and copper. The second stereoview is possibly of the Big Bug Mine in central Arizona. The card is orange on the front with "D.F. Mitchell" on one side and "Prescott, AZ " mostly covered on the other end. The reverse side is pink without any other notation. C. 1875-1881. The Big Bug mine site was noted for its gold and an Indian attack during the Apache Wars. Both are 7 in. X 3.5 in. very good condition. (ref.
