This lot has a stereoview of seven Indian men "395 Apache Indians of New Mexico" (posed group of 7 males) by "Continent Stereoscopic Co. Publishers/ 395 Apache Indians of New Mexico" at the bottom border, ivory mount front and back, "Philips',/2273,2275 Third Avenue" (New York) on the back. Low contrast excellent condition. C.1877. (ref. Arizona Stereographs 1865-1930 by Rowe p. 266). A second stereo view is of five (Navajo) adults posing near a dwelling with a blanket entry. On yellow mount front, buff colored back, in pencil marked "Hillers". No other markings. Possibly from the Indians of the Colorado Valley. (ref. Rowe p. 273). C.1874. High/low contrast sharp focus, minor foxing right side. Arizona
