Seal says "Sterling Borax Co. / Incorporated / May 9, 1908 / Nevada." 10.75". On January 15, 1908, the Sterling Borax Company was founded. It consisted of the American Borax Company, the Frazier Borate Company (Stauffer), The Thomas Thorkildsen Company (Thorkildsen and Mather), the Brighton Chemical Co. of New Brighton, Pa., and the Stauffer Chemical Co. of San Francisco. Works were located off of the Tonopah & Tidewater Railroad near Daggett and Lang. State: California City: HWAC#: 47214 Date: 1908
