This mine was originally known as the Vizina. It had produced more than a half million dollars worth of bullion before 1882. [Tombstone in History, Romance and Wealth] "The Sterling stamp mill [1889] at Tombstone will shortly begin operations The diamond drill has been put in the well to prospect for an additional supply of water, although the is now producing about 3000 gallons of water every 24 hours. After prospecting for water is finished the drill will be placed in the Vizina mine and will be used to thoroughly prospect the mine. The company accept custom ores in ten-ton lots and over, in to working the ore from its own mines. It work $15 ore at a profit and has now about 6,500 tons of ore on hand that will be graded up to $17 per ton. The mill has a capacity of 30 tons per 24 hours."
