Number 326 for 110 shares to Emeline H Dungan in 1861. Issued in February of 1861, this is just before the Civil War really started to heat up. Signed by president CB Dungan and secretary LD Reinboth. Incorporated in 1859. Vignettes of a steam locomotive, miner standing and underground mining with an ore cart. Good condition. Stock folds show numerous small rips and could use to be repaired. Some tears and rips at edges. One fold entire stock on right. Almost immediately after this stock was issued, rebels from the south confiscated the mine and sold it. In 1865 Charles B Dungan would write to President Johnson about how the Stewart coal and Iron mine can be reclaimed by him and the original stockholders.
