Round, expandable oak table by Stickley of Pasadena. 41" diameter, 30" high, plus two 12" leaves. The six original Stickley chairs come with it, but the cushions were redone in 1960 with a "post-modernist" design very popular at the time (ugly, in poor condition-fh). The table and chairs were professionally refurbished in Pasadena in 1960 by hand by a very acclaimed furniture restoration artist, whose name I forgot (fh) (not dipped, which ruins the wood joints). Provenance: Holabird family, Pasadena since it was new. It was in a house in Pasadena/Arcadia until about 1950, then to a house on on South Madison, then in a house at 1205 Garfield in South Pasadena from 1959 to about 1987. It was a prized possession of Mary Holabird, one of the three founders of Meals on Wheels along with Gertrude Hezlep (driving and founding force) way back in the early 1960s, and a docent to the United Nations in c1959-1963.
