Stock Certificate from the Stockholm MC. Incorporated in 1881 in Colorado. Located at Holy Cross. Certificate number 286 issued in 1882 to D. C. Lippincott. Signed by H. A. Plimpton and H. Pollitz. Printed by Henry Korf, Lith, Chicago. Size 10 by 7 inches. Not cancelled. Nicks at fold edges, slight staining, one folded corner. The stock itself is very nice. Not in Hollister, Fossett or Corbett. Located at Mount of Holy Cross, Red Cliff. Perhaps a very early Native American mining site! According to C& L, they owned the Stockholm, Christiana, and Newman Lodes on French Mountain. Located in 1880. Assaying 1.75 ounces gold/ton. Developed by three tunnels 30 ft. long each. Output is 50 tons. [Corregan & Lingane, 1883, pg. 252]
