Printer: American Bank Note Co. New York, with green border and print. Wonderful vignette of two naked cherubs battling each other with coins as shields with a train in the background. ñHarrisburg District. Washington Co., Utahî printed along bottom border. This is a famous certificate because of the coins (sealed dollars) in the vignette. The Stormont was a major producer at Silver Reef. In 1884, with a neighboring mine, they produced 234,000 ounces of bullion. They claimed to recover 80% in their mill. (Ref: Burchard, 1885, p430.) Uncancelled. XF.
