Very rare Alaska sea dredging company. Inc. 1900. No. 59, issued for 1200 shares to JA Colbron in San Francisco in 1902. Signed by president John Noe and secretary Osborn. Not cancelled. Reverse has color vignette of the dredging process! One 50 and one 10 cent stamp attached at upper left. Poor condition: large tape repaired separation, toning, and foxing. Capt. CF Stroud noticed gold on his anchors for the steamer Santa Ana. He became one of the stockholders and served as vice president for this company, which dredged off-shore at Nome from his ship Centennial. (See The Post-Intelligencer, Jul. 02, 1902). Fantastic!
