Brown with violet pattern sugar bowl, c. early 1800's. As per note on bottom of bowl, "This sugar bowl belonged to my great-grandmother, Sarah Taylor, wife of Isaac Taylor, first cousin of General Zachary Taylor, 10th President of the United States. It was given to my grandmother, Margaret Taylor about the time she married my grandfather, William Allen in 1818. The bowl is much older than this, but more is not positively known. John J Hyatt, Lewisburg Pa, April 1st 1901". 5x6x4.5". 2x .5" lower lip chips, .5" side chip, 1.25" top side crack. From the Hyatt Estate.
