Very rare. Inc. in Oregon. No. 100, issued to president David Eccles for 131 shares in 1903. Signed by President Eccles and secretary West. Train and mountain vignette. The railway, incorporated in 1890 by David Eccles, was a 3 ft (914 mm) narrow-gauge line built to haul logs to the Oregon Lumber Company's South Baker City sawmill. Although owned by the same group, the sawmill and railroad remained separate companies, with financing provided by Utah Mormons. The builders also owned the Grande Ronde Lumber Company, and the route followed terrain once considered for a Denver-to-Pacific line-abandoned by Union Pacific in favor of a path that served larger communities and avoided competition from the Oregon Railroad and Navigation Company.
