Early! c1910. One of the most important, and yet least recognized, group of people in the formation of Nevada were the surveyors. But the surveyor we are going to focus on is an unknown professional (or amateur) surveyor who bought a plat book at Brundages in Reno and went out and did surveys with pen and paper in the field. Locations include: Hilltop, Coaldale, Victor Brandt in Tybo, and Kinkead. (There is a Victor Barndt living in Hot Creek, Nye County in the 1910 census. He was born in 1876. His son Victor was born in 1902. Tybo is located in the Hot Creek Range.) Some pages have no discernible locations and many pages are unused.
