Lot of 5 letters between two post traders. All are on T.C. Power & Bro., Military & Indian Traders, Fort Benton, letterhead and addressed to McKnight & Co. at Fort Shaw, Montana. Letters dated 1873-1876. Four are about business transactions and the last is a more personal message between the two about a Lieutenant Bradly. T.C. Power was an influential military and Indian trader at Ft. Benton, Montana, and also ran a steamer company on the Missouri River. He served in the United States Senate from January 2, 1890 to March 3, 1895, as one of the first two senators from Montana.
