Leadville. Tabor Grand Hotel Key Tag. No. 23. Rectangular, with concaved sides. Br, 30mm x 40mm. Loop at top. Toned, some rust. Located at the northwest corner of 7th & Harrison in the highest city (10,200') in the United States, the Grand Hotel was built between 1883 and 1885. The four story brick building was designed by architect George King and featured steam heat, an elevator, a bar, kitchen, wine cellar, a dining room that seated several hundred, 117 elegantly appointed rooms, a barbershop, public parlor, a billiard room, several shops and a restaurant. The building is still in use today.
