Great Tahoe collectible four page newspaper published every evening except Sunday. Published from the Grand Central Hotel, located in present day Tahoe City near the north shore of the Lake. Ads on the front page include Grand Central Hotel and Tahoe Market. Ads on the back include the Tahoe House and the Big Bonanza Saloon. This issue contains mostly social gossip including Grand Central arrivals, the booming business of the Minnie Moody and that quite a number of Carson and Virginia people are on and around the lake at present. Humorous content noting that the Virginia Enterprise has been accusing the paper regarding their "little hatchet stories". The Tattler notes that this is not their first experience in this line, and to guard against possibilities "we procured one thousand self-cocking pistols and a hundred of the most savage bull dogs. These are our constant body guards." Four pages. City: Tahoe City State: California Date: 1881 hwac# 35413
