Certificate #1390 issued for 100 shares of the Tanawah Gold Mining Company in 1914 to Edna J. Buck. Signed by D.W. Haskell as president. Inc. in Nevada. The company operated in the Patterson District in the Sweetwater Mountains about 15 miles north of Bridgeport, Cal. Some of the company’s claims include the Eldorado, Forlorn Hope, Odd Fellow, Monte Carlo and the Severe Group. The Patterson district was a gold-silver district with it’s principal production of more than $500,000 between 1880-84. Some mining was done again in the early 1900’s (Mining Districts of CA). Uncancelled.
