Lot of two. 1) 1911 "Reception and Inaugural Ball, 1911" for Governor Tasker Oddie. Includes a dance card where this young lady has dance # 7 a schottische with Oddie. Oddie signed her card. Cover (photos of Oddie and capital) and six pages. Pages and cover are detaching. 2) 1928 letter between of Nevada's most powerful men. From United States Senator Tasker Oddie to Noble H Getchell Mining engineer including the Getchell Mine. [The Noble H Getchell Library on the University of Nevada campus was named for him.] It congratulates Getchell on being appointed Chairman of the Republican State Organization. Oddie signs the letter and writes a personal note, "P. S. I have just had another talk with Sec. [Secretary of Commerce Herbert] Hoover and told him how fortunate it is that you have been selcted as Satate Chairman as you are also a mining engineer and operator." Initialed 'TKO.
