Three unique teletype stocks, from various parts of the nation. The "National Teletype Company" is dated 1916, from Washington D.C. The other (2) are the "Burlingame Telegraphing Typewriter Co." and the "New Burlingame Telegraphing Typewriter Co." dated 1909 and 1912 respectively. The Burligame company was originally incorporated in Washington, and manufacturing and offices were set up in Boston. Elmer Burlingame invented the telegraphing typewriter in 1906, and patented it in 1909. The certificate has great vignettes at each corner of women on Greek columns, with electricity shooting from their outstretched hands. The "New" Burlingame Company was incorporated in the state of Arizona. The sequence of their history is quite interesting. All (3) documents are in good to very good condition. (Prag Collection).
